We are currently seeking experienced Financial Analysts with Operations/Field experience to work from our Warrenville, Illinois location. This position reports to the Director of Financial Planning and Analysis. The Financial Analyst will be responsible for providing financial analysis support services for NEC by preparing business pricing recommendations, generating bid summaries, and assisting in the development/execution of the Annual Operating Plan.
Responsibilities Include:
· Assisting with the preparation of pricing recommendations for new and existing business primarily through the development and utilization of pricing models
· Participating on various projects providing information gathering and analysis as well as solutions
· Preparing bid summaries and maintaining an ongoing history of bid results
· Preparing recommendations for annual rate changes based on analyses of operational cost increases including all contract renewal/re-bid pricing analysis (e.g. capital plan, staffing plan, and projected financial returns for up to 10 years)
· Preparing financial analyses, developing financial recommendations, and conducting audits
· Providing effective financial advice, guidance, and expertise
· Generating written financial reports and recommendations
· Interacting with all areas of the organization including Operations, Marketing, Financial Reporting and Control, and Business Development
· Working collaboratively with client managers
· Conducting/Participating in special analysis projects as needed
· Ensuring continuous improvement and implementation of best practices within the department and across the organization
Requirements Include:
· BS/BA in Finance or Business Administration required; CPA, CMA or MBA preferred
· Minimum 3 to 5 years experience in finance, financial systems, and general business experience to provide financial and business analysis support
· Experience in the financial analysis field including specific experience with modeling and reporting systems to develop business cost models and recommend pricing changes
· Strong working knowledge of MS Office Software (Excel, Access, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
· Working knowledge of modeling software to prepare reports and conduct financial analyses, experience with Oracle and/or Hyperion systems a plus
· Demonstrated ability to generate innovative solutions by using existing information to its maximum potential and follow through on implementation
· Well developed analytical skills
· Strong interpersonal and persuasion skills
· Strong verbal and written communication skills
· Demonstrated coordination and organizational skills
· Effective teamwork skills
